Description
PEScience TruCreatine Capsules
Creatine monohydrate is the most researched sports supplement in existence and one of the very few with genuinely settled evidence behind it. The only real questions are which one to buy and whether you will actually take it every day.
TruCreatine Capsules answer both: Creapure monohydrate, in capsules, four a day, no mixing and no taste.
What Creapure actually is, and why it costs more
Creapure is creatine monohydrate manufactured by AlzChem in Germany under pharmaceutical-grade quality controls. It is the specification most other creatine is measured against, and the difference is not marketing.
Creatine synthesis produces byproducts. Lower-cost sources can carry residual creatinine (a breakdown product), dicyandiamide and dihydrotriazine at levels that Creapure is specifically tested to exclude. Creapure is also tested and certified free of banned substances.
Creatine is a bulk commodity chemical and price pressure in that market is real. Paying for a certified source is how you know what is not in the tub, which matters more in this category than in most.
PEScience then third-party tests TruCreatine for label accuracy on top of the Creapure sourcing. Two independent checks rather than one.
The 3g question, honestly
Four capsules give you 3 grams of creatine. The commonly cited maintenance dose is 3 to 5 grams, so 3g sits at the lower end of that range rather than the middle.
PEScience's argument for 3g is that it reduces the intramuscular water retention some people dislike while still delivering the performance benefit. That is a reasonable position and it suits a lot of people, particularly anyone who has tried creatine before and disliked feeling puffy.
The honest counterpoint: if you are a larger athlete, or you want maximum muscle creatine saturation, 5g is the more commonly recommended target. Reaching it here means six or seven capsules rather than four, or moving to a powder. We would rather you know that than assume four capsules is the universal answer.
You do not need to load
Creatine loading means taking around 20 grams a day for five to seven days to saturate muscle stores faster. It works, but it is optional. Taking 3 to 5 grams daily reaches the same saturation point in roughly three to four weeks with no loading phase at all.
This matters because creatine's reputation for bloating comes almost entirely from those 20 gram loading protocols. At a normal daily dose, most people notice nothing beyond the intended effect. PEScience does not recommend loading and neither do we for most people.

How to take it
- Four capsules daily. All at once or spread through the day, both work.
- Every day, including rest days. This is the part people get wrong. Creatine works by saturating muscle stores over time, so skipping non-training days undermines the whole point.
- With or without food, any time. Timing does not meaningfully matter. Consistency does.
- Give it three to four weeks to reach saturation without loading.
- Drink normally. Creatine draws water into muscle cells, so staying reasonably hydrated is sensible. You do not need to force gallons.
Who this is for
- Anyone who will not consistently mix a powder, which is a bigger group than people admit
- People who want a certified source rather than the cheapest available creatine
- Anyone who has felt puffy on 5g and wants a lower daily dose
- People who travel, since capsules go in a bag without a scoop or a shaker
- Anyone starting creatine for the first time and wanting to keep it simple
Who this is not for
Capsules always cost more per gram than powder. That is true of every capsule product and it is true here. You are paying for convenience, and if cost per gram is your priority, buy an unflavoured Creapure powder instead. We carry those and we will point you at them.
If you want 5g a day, four capsules will not get you there. Six or seven will, and at that point the powder is the more sensible purchase.
If you dislike swallowing capsules, four a day is four a day.
Stack it with: anything. Creatine has no interactions to worry about and goes alongside protein, pre-workout or anything else in our creatine range.
Frequently asked questions
How much creatine is in TruCreatine Capsules?
3 grams per 4-capsule serving, from Creapure micronized creatine monohydrate.
What is Creapure?
Creatine monohydrate made by AlzChem in Germany to pharmaceutical-grade specifications. It is tested to exclude byproducts such as creatinine, dicyandiamide and dihydrotriazine that can appear in lower-cost creatine, and is certified free of banned substances.
Do I need to load creatine?
No. Loading with roughly 20g daily for five to seven days saturates muscle stores faster, but 3 to 5g daily reaches the same point in three to four weeks. Loading is where creatine's bloating reputation comes from.
Is 3g enough?
It is within the commonly cited 3 to 5g maintenance range, at the lower end. It reduces water retention, which many people prefer. Larger athletes or anyone wanting maximum saturation may prefer 5g, which means more capsules or a powder.
Should I take it on rest days?
Yes. Creatine works through saturation over time, not through an acute effect on training day. Every day matters.
Will creatine make me hold water?
Creatine draws water into the muscle cell, which is part of how it works. Visible puffiness is mostly associated with high loading doses rather than a normal daily 3 to 5g.
Capsules or powder?
Same creatine. Capsules cost more per gram and are far more convenient. If you will genuinely take a powder every day, buy the powder. If you will not, capsules you actually take beat powder you do not.
Is monohydrate better than HCl or other forms?
Monohydrate has by far the most research behind it. The newer forms are marketed as better absorbed but have not shown a meaningful advantage in the literature. Monohydrate remains the default for good reason.
Is it third-party tested?
Yes, for label accuracy, on top of Creapure's own certification.
Solid creatine, very nice pumps.
Superb customer service , easy ordering, and timely delivery. Really no negatives only positives!
