Description
Innova Pharm MVPre 3.0
This has been our best-selling pre-workout for six years running. Not a launch push, not a promotion — six years of people coming back for the same tub. That is the most useful thing we can tell you about it.
350mg of caffeine, 10 grams of citrulline, and no yohimbine.
10 grams of citrulline is the number that matters
Most pre-workouts run 6 to 8 grams of citrulline malate, which after accounting for the malate portion delivers meaningfully less actual citrulline. MVPre 3.0 uses 10 grams.
Citrulline converts to arginine in the kidneys, and arginine feeds nitric oxide production, which relaxes blood vessels and increases blood flow. Taken orally, citrulline raises plasma arginine more effectively than arginine itself does, because arginine is largely broken down in the gut before it gets anywhere.
Citrulline is dose-dependent, and 10 grams is at the top of what is used in the research. This is the single biggest reason the pump on this is what it is.
It is stacked with S7, a blend of seven plant extracts, and GlycerSize, a stabilised glycerol that pulls water into muscle cells for volumisation and hydration. Three different mechanisms on the pump side rather than one.
One honest note on S7: the frequently quoted 230% increase in nitric oxide is a relative figure from a specific study design. A large percentage increase from a low baseline is a smaller absolute change than it sounds. The ingredient is legitimate; the number is more impressive in isolation than in context.
350mg, and deliberately no yohimbine
350mg of caffeine anhydrous is a serious dose and sits just under the 400mg the FDA cites as a daily ceiling for healthy adults. That positioning is intentional.
The absence of yohimbine is worth calling out, because it is the reason a lot of people tolerate this when they cannot tolerate other high-stim pre-workouts. Yohimbine is an alpha-2 adrenergic antagonist, and in a meaningful share of users it produces anxiety, nausea, sweating and an elevated heart rate that has nothing to do with training quality. Leaving it out is a formulation choice that costs the brand a "stronger" label claim and makes the product usable for far more people.
The stimulant side is rounded out with eria jarensis, juglans regia (English walnut extract) and huperzine A, alongside choline bitartrate and N-acetyl-L-tyrosine for the focus half. Choline supplies the raw material for acetylcholine and huperzine slows its breakdown, which is a coherent pairing rather than a list.
The label criticism
The Cogni-Stim Matrix is a proprietary blend at 2.12 grams containing choline bitartrate, N-acetyl-L-tyrosine, caffeine and other ingredients. Only the caffeine at 350mg is individually disclosed.
So you cannot tell how much choline or tyrosine you are getting. The pump ingredients are disclosed at full doses, which makes the blended stimulant and focus matrix a conspicuous gap. Worth knowing, and worth weighing against six years of repeat customers.

How to take it
- Start with half a scoop. The tub is sized for it, which tells you the manufacturer expects it. 350mg plus the additional stimulants is a lot for a first exposure.
- One scoop in 10 to 16 ounces of water, 15 to 30 minutes before training.
- On an empty stomach. Food slows absorption of both the caffeine and the citrulline.
- Never more than one scoop in 24 hours.
- No other caffeine that day. 350mg is most of your allowance before coffee.
- Do not add a pump product. 10g of citrulline plus S7 plus GlycerSize is already three mechanisms. Anything more is wasted money.
- Not in the evening. 350mg at 5pm leaves roughly 175mg at 11pm.
Who this is for
- Experienced pre-workout users who want a full-strength product
- Anyone who reacts badly to yohimbine and has been struggling to find a strong pre without it
- People who prioritise pumps, given the 10g citrulline
- Anyone who wants a tub that lasts, at 40 half servings
Who this is not for
Not for tested athletes. Eria jarensis is on WADA's monitoring programme, and several of the stimulants in this formula are not permitted in tested competition. If you compete, do not use this. Ask us for a certified alternative and we will show you one.
Not for beginners. Start on something gentler and learn your tolerance first.
Not for anyone caffeine sensitive, training in the evening, or with cardiovascular concerns. Speak to your doctor first if you take prescription medication or have a heart condition.
Under 18, pregnant or nursing: no.
Stack it with: creatine. Nothing else stimulant-based and no additional pump product.
Frequently asked questions
How much caffeine is in MVPre 3.0?
350mg of caffeine anhydrous per full scoop, plus eria jarensis, juglans regia and huperzine A on the stimulant side.
Does it contain yohimbine?
No, deliberately. Yohimbine causes anxiety, nausea and elevated heart rate in a meaningful share of users, and leaving it out is why many people tolerate this when other high-stim pre-workouts do not agree with them.
How much citrulline is in it?
10 grams, which is at the top of the researched range and considerably more than the 6 to 8g most pre-workouts use.
Can I use it if I compete in a tested federation?
No. Eria jarensis is on WADA's monitoring programme, and several of the stimulants here are not permitted in tested competition. Ask us for a certified option.
How many servings are in a tub?
40 half scoops, or 20 full scoops.
Should I start with a full scoop?
No. Half a scoop first, always. The tub is sized in half servings for exactly that reason.
Is everything on the label disclosed?
Not entirely. The pump ingredients are individually dosed, but the 2.12g Cogni-Stim Matrix is a proprietary blend with only the caffeine broken out.
Why do you sell so much of it?
It has been our best-selling pre-workout for six years. Strong pumps from a genuinely large citrulline dose, serious energy without yohimbine, and a tub that lasts.
