Description
110 Percent High Voltage
8 grams of pure L-citrulline, 2.5g betaine, 600mg alpha-GPC and a deliberately engineered stimulant complex — including 3mg of alpha yohimbine.
The name says high stim. The caffeine number will surprise you, and that is the most interesting thing about this product.
"High stim" here does not mean high caffeine
Total caffeine is 250mg — 150mg anhydrous plus 100mg caffeine citrate.
That is lower than Thavage at 305mg, and well below RULE at 485mg or DEFY at 450mg. By caffeine alone, this is a moderate product.
The intensity comes from somewhere else. 110 Percent have built the stimulant experience out of four compounds working through different mechanisms rather than piling on caffeine:
- Caffeine, 250mg — adenosine receptor antagonist. The familiar one
- TeaCrine (theacrine), 250mg — structurally similar to caffeine, but notably it does not produce the same tolerance build-up over time, and it has a longer, flatter curve
- Theobromine, 50mg — the mild stimulant in cocoa. Gentler and longer-acting than caffeine, and mildly vasodilating rather than vasoconstricting
- Alpha yohimbine, 3mg — the aggressive one. See below
This is a genuinely more considered approach than a bigger caffeine number. If caffeine tolerance is your problem — you have worked up to 400mg and it no longer does much — a formula that recruits other pathways may serve you better than simply adding more caffeine.
⚠ The alpha yohimbine is what makes this "high voltage"
3mg is a meaningful dose, and it is disclosed, which is to the brand's credit — plenty of products hide it inside a proprietary blend.
Alpha yohimbine (rauwolscine) is an alpha-2 adrenergic antagonist, considerably more potent than standard yohimbine. In a meaningful share of users it produces anxiety, elevated heart rate, nausea and sweating that has nothing to do with training quality.
Typical doses run 1.5 to 3mg. This sits at the top of that range.
Not for anyone with a cardiovascular condition, high blood pressure, or an anxiety disorder. Not for tested athletes. And if you have never taken alpha yohimbine before, start with half a scoop — this is the ingredient people react to, not the caffeine.
Two caffeine forms, and why citrate is unusual
Caffeine citrate is faster-absorbing than caffeine anhydrous — it dissolves more readily and reaches peak blood levels sooner.
That is the opposite approach to the slow-release forms other brands use. Fresh Pre uses microencapsulated caffeine to extend the tail; Thavage uses di-caffeine malate as a salt to flatten the curve. 110 Percent pair anhydrous with citrate to sharpen the front end instead, then rely on TeaCrine and theobromine — both long-acting — to carry the back half.
Three different engineering solutions to the same problem. This one is built for a fast, hard onset.
The pump side is genuinely strong
- L-Citrulline, 8,000mg — pure, not malate. That is above the 6 to 8g researched range and among the highest on our shelf. A product listing 8g of citrulline malate would deliver only around 5.3g
- Betaine Anhydrous, 2,500mg — the exact clinical dose, associated with strength and power output
- VasoDrive-AP, 225mg — the interesting one, below
VasoDrive-AP is a rare and genuinely different ingredient
Most pump ingredients work by supplying nitric oxide substrate. VasoDrive-AP works by inhibiting an enzyme.
It supplies lactotripeptides — IPP and VPP — derived from casein. These are studied as natural ACE inhibitors: they interfere with angiotensin-converting enzyme, part of the pathway that constricts blood vessels. Rather than pushing vasodilation harder, it eases off the constriction signal.
That is a mechanism no other product on our shelf uses, and it complements citrulline rather than duplicating it.
⚠ Note that it is casein-derived, so this product contains a milk-derived ingredient — worth knowing if you have a dairy allergy.
Specs
| L-Citrulline | 8,000mg (pure) |
| Betaine Anhydrous | 2,500mg |
| Alpha-GPC | 600mg (~300mg if 50% standardised) |
| TeaCrine | 250mg |
| Caffeine Anhydrous | 150mg |
| Caffeine Citrate | 100mg |
| Total caffeine | 250mg |
| VasoDrive-AP | 225mg |
| L-Theanine | 100mg |
| Theobromine | 50mg |
| Alpha Yohimbine | 3mg |
| BioPerine | 10mg |
| Huperzine A | See note above — likely ~100mcg |
| ⚠ Allergen | Casein-derived VasoDrive-AP |
The theanine-to-caffeine ratio here is 100mg to 250mg — roughly 1:2.5, which is considerably closer to the 1:2 used in research than most high-stim products manage. That is part of why the caffeine side feels controlled.
High Voltage or standard 110 Percent?
| High Voltage | 110 Percent Pre | |
| Caffeine | 250mg | Moderate |
| Citrulline | 8g pure | 9g citrulline malate (~6g citrulline) |
| Alpha yohimbine | 3mg | None |
| TeaCrine / theobromine | Yes | No |
| Best for | Experienced users wanting aggression | Daily driver |
The alpha yohimbine is the deciding factor, not the caffeine. If you have not used it before, start with the standard version — it delivers comparable citrulline without the compound most people react to.
How to take it
- Start with half a scoop in 8 to 12oz of water, particularly if alpha yohimbine is new to you.
- One scoop, 20 to 30 minutes before training. Never more in 24 hours.
- Morning or early afternoon. TeaCrine has a long half-life — this stays with you longer than 250mg of caffeine alone would suggest.
- Count your other caffeine.
- Not every session. Alpha yohimbine is best used selectively.
- Take creatine separately.
Who this is for
- Experienced users whose caffeine tolerance has plateaued and want intensity from other pathways
- Anyone who wants strong pump dosing — 8g of pure citrulline is genuinely high
- People who like a sharp, fast onset
- Anyone who wants a fully disclosed label including the alpha yohimbine dose
- People saving a stronger product for specific heavy sessions
Who this is not for
Beginners. Not because of the caffeine, but because of the alpha yohimbine.
Tested athletes.
Anyone with a cardiovascular condition, high blood pressure or an anxiety disorder.
Anyone with a dairy allergy — VasoDrive-AP is casein-derived.
Anyone training in the evening. TeaCrine's long half-life extends the effect well past the caffeine.
If you simply want more caffeine, this is not that product — 250mg is moderate. DEFY or RULE deliver considerably more.
Not for anyone under 18, pregnant or nursing. Speak to your doctor before use if you take any prescription medication.
Stack it with: creatine. Nothing else stimulant-based, and no additional pump product — 8g citrulline is already a full dose.
Frequently asked questions
How much caffeine is in High Voltage?
250mg total — 150mg anhydrous plus 100mg caffeine citrate. That is moderate; the intensity comes from TeaCrine, theobromine and alpha yohimbine rather than caffeine volume.
What is alpha yohimbine?
Rauwolscine, an alpha-2 adrenergic antagonist considerably more potent than standard yohimbine. At 3mg this sits at the top of the typical range, and it causes anxiety and elevated heart rate in a meaningful share of users.
Why caffeine citrate?
It absorbs faster than anhydrous, sharpening the onset. That is the opposite approach to the slow-release forms other brands use — here the back half is carried by TeaCrine and theobromine instead.
What is TeaCrine?
Theacrine, structurally similar to caffeine but with a longer, flatter curve and without the same tolerance build-up over time.
What is VasoDrive-AP?
Lactotripeptides derived from casein, studied as natural ACE inhibitors. Rather than supplying nitric oxide substrate, it eases the vessel-constriction signal — a different mechanism from citrulline. Note it is milk-derived.
Is 8g of citrulline a lot?
Yes — at the top of the researched range, and it is pure citrulline rather than malate. An 8g citrulline malate product would deliver only around 5.3g.
Can I take it if I am drug tested?
No. Alpha yohimbine makes it unsuitable.
How is it different from standard 110 Percent?
The alpha yohimbine, TeaCrine and theobromine. Citrulline is comparable. If you have not used alpha yohimbine before, start with the standard version.
